Chart Atlas provides country music charts, genre discovery, public playlist browsing, and music research pages. We process only the information needed to operate, secure, troubleshoot, and improve the service.
Information We Process
- Chart and genre pages: country chart data, track metadata, artist metadata, selected dates, selected countries, and selected genre views.
- Playlist tools: playlist task requests, selected tracks, generated playlist metadata, and public playlist lists when features are enabled.
- Service logs: request path, status code, user agent, referrer, approximate IP-related routing headers, processing time, and basic client events such as tab views.
- Advertising data: if ads are enabled, Google AdSense or other advertising partners may use cookies, device data, consent signals, and advertising identifiers according to their own policies.
Purpose of Processing
- Display chart maps, weekly reports, country reports, genre reports, and discovery tools.
- Analyze service errors, prevent abuse, and improve performance.
- Operate playlist-related features and external music platform links where available.
- Serve, measure, and manage advertising if advertising is enabled.
Retention
Chart datasets and derived reports are retained as historical research snapshots. Server logs and cache data may be retained for the period needed to operate the service, diagnose incidents, and understand abuse patterns. Playlist chat/session data is intended to be temporary and may be reset by service maintenance or deployment.
Third-Party Services
Chart Atlas may use external services such as Spotify API, Apple Music preview metadata, OpenAI/Codex execution environments, Google AdSense, Cloudflare, and other metadata sources. Data handling by those services follows their own terms and privacy policies.
